HSLC006097A - Nala is a senior female bulldog mix found as a stray in early February. Nala is a true gem! She is perfect walking on a leash, she is gentle and very calm, she sits on command, and is an all around sweet, loving girl. Nala is patiently waiting for her new family to come and take her home! HSLC006139A - Kermit is an adult male pit bull mix found as a stray in late February. Kermit is a hoot! He just gets so excited about everything! In fact, he gets so excited, sometimes he can't contain his joy! Kermit will need lots of playtime to help harness his puppy enthusiasm... but he does know how to sit. And he'll actually stop on a dime to sit for a treat. So we know he's a smart boy and has great potential! And he's oh so friendly! Watch Kermit's Video! Update: A trainer has now been working regularly with Kermit 3 times a week! He is working on leash walking, basic commands, and playing nicely with toys. Kermit is showing amazing progress! He will need an owner that is consistent and fair and shows leadership. Keep up the good work Kermit!

HSLC00A - Keena is a young spayed female St. Bernard found as a stray in mid May. Keena is just a delight! She is instantly your best friend and just full of silly energy! However she sits perfectly on command and will probably do almost anything for a treat! Keena is a special girl, we just know she'll make a family very happy! Keena seems very focused and a bit too interested in other animals, so she will do best in a home as the only pet.

HSLC006696A - Ebony is a small adult female Labrador Retriever mix surrendered because her owners were moving and could not take her along with them. Ebony is SO calm and easygoing! She is most likely a little older and more mature, so she definitely knows how to act nicely on a leash and when meeting new people! Ebony sits nicely on command. She has lived with children in her previous home. If you are looking for a more easygoing dog for a slower lifestyle, this is your girl! ADOPTED!

HSLC005642A – Amy is an 11 year old spayed female rat terrier surrendered to the shelter because she was not too fond of the cats in her home. For an older girl, Amy looks and acts like quite a spry little pup! She loves to take walks and will sit and lay down on command for a yummy treat! Amy will do best in a home without children and without cats. And since she’s a senior girl, she tends to like the calm, quiet life. HSLC006508A – Shrek is an adult male Bichon Frise mix surrendered to the shelter in late June. Little Shrek is so adorable and just the sweetest little guy! He is just a tiny bit timid when you meet him, but boy does he love belly scratches!  Shrek will need a quiet home and someone with a gentle hand, but he is so calm and good-natured we just know someone will fall in love!
