Welcome
to our Online Dog Adoptions Center. At any given time we may have
up to 45 dogs available for adoption to a good and loving home.
As you could probably guess the expense of feeding, housing and
cleaning, up to 45 dogs at any given time, can become costly.
To help
offset these costs The Humane Society of Lebanon County charges
a one time $45.00 fee to be paid upon the adoption of any dog, and
a $60.00 fee to be paid upon the adoption of any puppy. In addition
to this adoption fee, we are also required to charge a one time
$30.00 deposit fee for the adoption of any dog that is not already
altered or fixed. This deposit will be returned to you upon proof
of altering from your veterinarian.
This policy
is in effect to ensure our compliance with Pennsylvania State Law
that decrees all animals adopted from a Humane Society must be fixed.
Failure to comply with this policy or the policy set forth in the
adoption application will result in forfeiture of all fees paid
in addition to seizure of the animal in question.
In addition
to all other fees, any adopter that lives in the county of Lebanon
is required to purchase a Lebanon County Dog License at the time
of adoption. This fee is dependant upon whether or not the animal
being licensed is altered or not. Altered animals cost $6.50 to
license and unaltered animals cost $8.50 to license.
Our adoption
application process is simple and quick. To adopt a dog from the
Humane Society of Lebanon County you will need a valid drivers license
or state id. You will need to fill out one, two or three forms depending
on whether or not the dog you wish to adopt is altered or not and
whether or not you live in the county of Lebanon. The three forms
are The Adoption Application,
The Spay Neuter Agreement and the Dog License Application.
The process
generally takes 10-20 minutes and your new pet can be taken home
that same day. If you want to speed the process up you can view
and print out our forms and fill them out before coming down to
the shelter to adopt. To do so simply click on the documents name
in the paragraph above.
We accept
Cash, Visa, and MasterCard.
We always
have lots of loving dogs in need of a home, stop down today to see
